He won't play the next 2 games imo. Doesn't matter, though. Avs didn't react (except of ROB) and they will get abused in every game from now on.

Stuart should get a suspension. First contact was Stuart's elbow to Landeskog's face. The replay was shown several times and it was clear in the manner Landeskog's head snapped back. I looked for shoulder to shoulder, or shoulder to chin and it wasn't there. Clear elbow to chin all the way. The pic PAF posted above says it all.

Though call at that moment, but not a clean hit in my opinion.

Still kinda bs to me that O'Bryne gets 19 pm and Stuart not even a fighting major just because he got beaten up... Refs made a huge present for the home team. Broke our momentum and handed the game to the Sharks (Landeskog out because of injury for that period and O'Byrne because of penalty)...

When Landeskog was falling, Stuart´s hand followed him. It is called physical laws. The object (hand + elbow) followed attacked object (face).

PAY ATTENTION: I added the poll one minute later after posting this thread, so some of you gus have not voted yet. Please, do it. thanks!

No. Altitude showed the replay several times and Stuart led with his elbow. Landeskog's chin never came in contact with Stuart's shoulder. Landeskog's chin was the first point of contact.

Either way, it doesn't matter what part of Stuart's body it was, Gabe's head was still the first point of contact.

Feet off the ice I could be swayed as to momentum caused etc etc. bottom line is he came up with the elbow to the head, and that's dangerous.

This. It was a hit to the head and he should miss some time for it.

Exploding up to make contact with the head is not a good hit, I thought Rycroft broke it down well inbetween the 2nd and 3rd period.

Yeah, but even Rycroft stopped short of saying it was definitely dirty, and he's a pretty blatant homer. I think the hit was about 90% clean. Definitely some ill will behind it....most open ice hits have some of that. But Lando was looking down at the puck, didn't keep his head up...and I don't think Stuart targeted the head (although some contact with the head occurred).

loved what Ryan O'Bryne did in sticking up for his teammate. Even if it costs us the game, in the long run, he did the right thing. And how was that a "visor" penalty when I thought Stuart had a visor as well?

I think it was dirty, Stuart went for his head. Landy was lucky not to get a serious head injury. But hey maybe I'm incompetent to judge on that objectively, since I support the Avs. Anyway.. Landy and the Avs will come back stronger from this.

Right on the line between dirty and clean imo. I voted clean because I think Stuart was leading with shoulder and just happened to catch landy's head.

I could be wrong, but my understanding from what McNab said during the game is if you instigate a fight with a visor you get the extra 2 minutes.

Dirty for sure. I agree with what Eurolance is saying about the forearm, was prepositioned to hit high. I also looked up a hard hit by Wilson - found the one where he hit Elias, and you can see the difference that Wilson didn't have his arm like that, and used his shoulder to make the hit.
